EMILY WELSH, LCSW-R

Emily is a licensed psychotherapist who has been in practice for over 10 years. Starting her career at two intense youth crisis shelters, and working in Early Intervention, she has worked with families for almost two decades. She attended SUNY New Paltz, graduation with a BS in Psychology, and on the SUNY Albany for a Master’s in Social Work. Having worked in a variety of settings with a variety of clientele, she has been able to focus her practice on helping others with feeling better about who they are meant to be. Having training in family work, trauma, and anxiety based treatments such as CBT, she continues to work to help others see the best in themselves and navigate this difficult world with a little more self-love and confidence.

Emily works with folks who have anxiety disorders, depressive disorders, self-harm, pregnancy loss, pregnancy/post-partum concerns, adolescent concerns, communication difficulties, self-esteem issues, history of abuse/trauma, and OCD. Emily also works frequently with those in the LGBTQIA+ community.
